Apa itu minimal pairs? (What is minimal pairs?)



Hello Buddy, have been along time I am not updating my blog, cause of lack of idea and my own business. How are you? Fine? Thanks God. Look at the tittle please? Have you know about that? Really? Okay, if you already known that, You may leave out. But, if you don't, check it out! :-)
Minimal pairs are pairs of words in particular language, differ by one sound, so the word has its own meaning.The sound may occurs in consonantal phones or vocalic phones.

For example: paku and palu (Indonesian language)

The word only differ by sounds [k] and [l]. From those two difference, those word has different meaning. For word paku means nail, while word palu means hammer.
